I fell in love with neuroscience in college and even published a paper on nervous system development. After a layoff from my lab job at the University of Oregon, I discovered chiropractic almost by accident, taking a job as a chiropractic assistant with Dr. Gorman in Eugene.
Dr. Gorman was an inspiration. He treated Olympic athletes and local runners, and I watched patients walk out of his office transformed after just 10 or 15 minutes of hands-on, drug-free care. Having just studied the nervous system, I was amazed that chiropractic could impact it so directly. I worked with him for four years, and he encouraged me to pursue the profession myself.
I moved to Portland for chiropractic college and never left. Along the way, mentors and seminars reinforced my belief that this path aligned with my values: working hard, helping people heal, and also living a full, balanced life; something I didn’t see growing up in a family that worked constantly but never enjoyed it.
After graduation, I worked for another chiropractor for four years, then opened my own practice. I love the independence, purpose, and fulfillment it brings. Every day my patients teach me as much as I teach them about their bodies, biomechanics, and healthy living.
Outside the Clinic
Movement is my happy place. I train in aerial circus arts such as trapeze and lyra for fun, strength, and body control, and I sneak away for restorative trips to Mt. Hood whenever I can for hiking, fresh air, and a reset before the week begins. That love of movement and balance shapes how I treat: gentle, precise care paired with simple exercises you can actually do.
Care Philosophy
My approach is simple: listen closely, treat what matters, and teach you how to keep feeling better. I combine gentle manual techniques with soft-tissue work, ergonomic tips, and corrective exercise. The goal is always the same: relief that lasts and a plan you feel confident about.
